KIM STOCKWOOD

Kim Stockwood is a born entertainer, an accomplished songwriter and an award winning recording artist. Kim started her career singing at folk nights in her hometown of St. John’s, Newfoundland. A move to Toronto, found her in the offices of EMI Music Publishing, where she stood on a piano stool, sang 2 cover songs, and walked out with a publishing deal. She signed with EMI records 5 months later. Her career includes multiple hits, as a solo artist, and as a member of trio Shaye. Her version of It’s a Marshmallow World has become a Christmas classic.  Her latest release, Cryin’ Too, was co-written by Gordie Sampson. “When Gordie and I sat down to write, I was thinking about all the music I grew up hearing in my house,” Stockwood says. “My Dad’s music of the 50’s and 60’s—timeless artists like Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Hank Williams and their most beloved songs. We reach for those songs when we really need them. They’re going to outlive us all.”

ANDREW HYATT

Andrew Hyatt has amassed nearly 50 million combined streams, had several Top 10s, won the 2022 CCMA Award for Rising Star, and has countless other noteworthy accolades. At the core, Hyatt’s true passion is rooted in his songwriting talent and ability to tell a story like no other.

KATIE TUPPER (in the TikTok Seat)

Beneath the painted hues and infinite prairie skies of Saskatoon – a city in the heart of Canada – lies a soulful, creative spirit that proves there’s much more to the so-called ‘fly-over states’ than grassland and grain silos. Katie Tupper embodies that spirit and is determined to show there’s an entire world of boundary-pushing, genre-defying artists at work within the often overlooked region. Tupper’s two EPs, ‘Towards The End’ and ‘Where To Find Me’, received glowing acclaim from tastemakers like Zane Lowe and indie music press like Ones To Watch, Exclaim, Under The Radar, and FLOOD Magazine. She appeared on eTalk and recorded a filmed television performance for CBC. Tupper was one of three participants selected to be part of the 2023 Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class, been nominated for a JUNO Award, and won several Western Canadian Music Awards, including BreakOut Artist of the Year in 2023.

JOCE REYOME

Joce Reyome has been captivating audiences with their dynamic performances on stages throughout the east coast of Canada, where they now call home. Reyome discovered their true passion in the rhythmic world of music, where they honed their skills performing alongside artists such as Irish Mythen, KINLEY, Andrew Waite and Dylan Menzie. Joce’s debut single, Cross My Heart, was produced by award-winning producer Erin Costelo and recorded with Colin Buchanan at Hillsound Studios. They followed up with their most recent single, Grateful. Also produced by Erin Costelo, this single is infused with their trademark classic blues sound, raw vocals, and evocative storytelling. Joce is currently recording their first full length album, which can be expected later this year. Winner of the 2022 Music PEI “Entertainer of the Year” Award, Reyome, a genuine soul, brings authenticity to their performances, turning audiences into active participants in a journey through heartbreak and humour. With performances on the Confederation Centre of the Arts main stage, at JUNOfest 2024, at the East Coast Music Awards and more, they have captivated audiences across Atlantic Canada.

ANDREA ENGLAND (HOST/FOUNDER/CURATOR)

Every once in a while, award-winning songwriter Andrea England – and founder of the popular songwriter concert series, Four Chords and the Truth – reminds us that she is singer-songwriter first. On her latest work, the ambient Americana-esque Evidence of Love – produced by JUNO Award winner Hill Kourkoutis (Aysanabee) – England dug deep into her Nova Scotian roots. Penning  5 of the 7 tracks alone, and co-writing two, “Stone,” with Tenille Townes, and “Cover to Cover” with her  frequent collaborators, Liz Rodrigues (Celine, Eminem) and James Bryan (Drake, Nelly Furtado). Born and raised in Nova Scotia, the now Toronto-based songwriter’s songs have been recorded by the likes of country artists Meghan Patrick, Twin Kennedy, Don Amero, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and more. Andrea’s previous body of work, 2012’s Hope and Other Sins, produced by Grammy winning producer, Colin Linden, spent several weeks on Cashbox Canada’s top 50 folk chart and hit No. 1 on Galaxy’s folk roots radio channel. Her 2004 debut album, Lemonade, produced by Northern Pikes’ Bryan Potvin, won a prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest was nominated for multiple NS Music Awards.
